The arts are a major contributor to the economy in Missouri. St. Louis, for example, has $1 billion pumped into its market via the arts industry, and equates it to being the area's 3rd largest employer.

Artists in the Show Me State will see moderate increases in job opportunities through 2010, including nearly 17% for set and exhibit designers, 16% for graphic designers, and 11% for general artists.
