Alaska is the largest state in the Union but the third smallest in terms of population. It is bordered by Canada's Yukon Territory and British Columbia in the East; the Gulf of Alaska and the Pacific Ocean to the South; the Bering Sea in the West; and the Arctic Ocean in the North.
